The Hooker Suspension bridge at Mt Cook Aoraki has officially been opened on the 28th of July 2026. Dan Crocker, the lead bridge engineer & architect for the project here at DC Structures Studio, braved the cold to be there on the day… and what a day it was! Dan fielded interviews with RNZ, TVNZ Breakfast, 1 News at Six, NZ Herald & Seven Sharp to name a few. It was such a monumental day, and it was very exciting to see the enjoyment the bridge gave the local community & tourists who came to see it.
