Hendon Park Footbridge Concept (2011)

This is the original footbridge concept for a 60m spanning architectural tied arch that was part of the winning tender for the Waterview Alliance back in 2011.

Dan was the lead bridge engineer and bridge architect for the Hendon Park Footbridge whilst working at Beca when we were developing the initial tender designs for the Well-connected Waterview Alliance Team.

Hendon Park Footbridge (due for completion in 2017) now looks very different to this early concept scheme. Hendon Park Footbridge is expected to be one of the most iconic footbridges in NZ on completion in 2017 (contact Will.pank@beca.com for more info relating to the final structure).
