Scared of heights? This is the bridge for you!
To celebrate the first birthday of the Manganui Gorge Suspension Bridge, the bridge’s architect and engineer Dan Crocker visited in high wind and snow to see how it’s holding up.
The wind? Gales!
The bridge? Solid as.
It’s all thanks to those pre-stressed windstays (and a whole lot of state-of-the-art wind analysis).
It doesn’t matter if it’s a fine summer’s day or a snowstorm – that bridge ain’t moving.
